Former England pacer Stuart Broad heaped praise on Pakistan’s ace speedster Shaheen Afridi on Friday.
Broad, who recently retired from international cricket, said that Shaheen is one his favourite bowlers in the world.
"Shaheen Shah Afridi is one of my favorite bowlers to watch in the world. He's got such a presence about him when he runs in, and I love to see bowlers run in with energy and vibrancy to their run up. He's got such a natural skill — the way that ball swings back into the right-handers is such a pleasure to watch,” Broad said on Sky Sports.
“And he represented the Notts Outlaws this summer, which is close to my heart. He's one of the bowlers I admire hugely, and I want to see him do well," he added.
Shaheen is currently playing for Welsh Fire in The Hundred and has claimed three wickets in two matches.
The Hundred began on August 1, with the final set to be played on August 27 at the Lord’s Cricket Ground.
In the men's competition last year, Trent Rockets prevailed after defeating Manchester Originals in the championship match.
Meanwhile, the Oval Invincibles, who defeated Southern Brave in a rematch of the 2021 final, prevailed in the women's competition to claim victory for the second time in a row.
